Rules

  • §1 as a participant, you are required to know all the rules for the race (see below).

  • §2 as a participant, you are required to follow all the rules below. If you stand at the starting line – obey our rules!

  • §3 All participation is at YOUR OWN RISK. Toughest disclaims all liability for damages to the participants and their equipment. If any of the participants or their equipment and / or clothing are damaged, the organizers are not responsible. We encourage all participants to have insurance for this type of race.

  • §4 All registration for Toughest is final, you have no right to withdraw your registration. The organizers will not refund any registration fee.

  • §5 The Race Committee reserves the right to change the race whenever they want.

  • §6 There will be a taped path, follow it.

  • §7 You are obligated to call for contest management’s attention if you or anyone else gets injured during the race.

  • §8 Minimum age to participate is 18 years old. Minors require a parental consent under contract with Toughest to be able to race.

  • §9 The Race Committee reserves the right to cancel the race. If this occurs, the entry fee will be returned, but no compensation for other expenses such as travel or hotel will be refunded.

  • §10 It is not allowed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs while you are running the race. The organizers have the right to pick you off the track and disqualify you if you appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • §11 It is not allowed to use performance-enhancing drugs. The organizers have the right to pick you off the track and disqualify you if you appear to be under the influence of performance-enhancing drugs.

  • §12 All changes in your registration (transfer, change of team name, etc.) must be notified earlier than 2 weeks before the start. All inquiries there after will not be considered.

  • §13 Toughest have at each event photographers on location. It is both still and moving image. As a participant you give Toughest permission to publish footage of events in the channels Toughest wish to use.

  • §14 You and your fellow competitors have their own chip. This should sit around the right ankle.

  • §15 Only one person in the team runs at once. Switching between team members is done in a marked area. If the exchange is not made here, the team risks to be disqualified.

  • §16 Most completed laps wins. Should more than one team have completed the same amount of laps when the race ends. The winner will be the team that has got furthest on the current lap. If the teams are even at the current lap the team that has made the least amount of exchanges wins. If the teams have made the same amount of exchanges, there will be a final lap to determine the winner.
